Nils Böddingmeier (*1988) lives and works in both Berlin and Freiburg, Germany. He is currently studying at Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie. Before his studies in photography, he graduated from Albert-Ludwig-University in the field of forestry science.
In his masters program he concentrated on human landuse and its environmental impacts. His photographic work pursues this correlation with an approach on the borderline between documentary and artistic photography. Intensive research regarding sociocultural, economical and environmental impacts of the human-environment-interaction takes a central part in his process. In addition to his projects, Nils Böddingmeier also works on assignments.
